  • Kids in the Kitchen began in 2007 at JLMC and has been teaching kids about healthy food and how to prepare healthy snacks at the Downtown Southern Pines Farmers Market.
  • Sandhills Community College Scholarships started in 2007 and has provided two full scholarships to at risk young adults in our local community selected by Sandhills Community College.
  • Academy for Success is a program that has evolved from a one day workshop to a monthly workshop hosted by members of the Junior League for middle and high school aged young women. We recognize the importance of self-esteem in making good life decisions and this program addresses the challenges that girls face, in school and out, as they grow up. This program is currently provided to young women at the Pinckney Academy,
  • Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and JLMC partner together with the local food bank to collect donations to help feed the 24% of children in Moore County that are food insecure.
  • Friend to Friend is the only domestic violence and sexual assault agency in Moore County. JLMC provides donated items and volunteer support.
  • Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills hosts an annual holiday dinner where JLMC volunteers to help serve at risk local children in the program.
  • Adopt-a-Street We adopted Bennett Street in Downtown Southern Pines in 2013.
  • Junior League of Moore County recruitment and retention of members; creates opportunities for women to attend training; and educates members on nonprofit leadership development.
